Er. Firdous Ahmed Parray, has completed his Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from Bangalore University in the year 1999 and has a Diploma in Management (2004). During his career spanning over 25 years, he has been known for his innovative hydraulic solutions and was awarded Sanjay Prakash Memorial Award for the year 2012 by Intercontinental Consultants and Technocrats Private Limited, New Delhi. He has been associated with major infrastructure projects in Jammu and Kashmir with funding from prestigious financial institutions like World Bank and Asian Development Bank. While working for leading companies viz. Shah Technical Consultants Pvt. Ltd., Lea Associates (South Asia) Private Limited, WPIL Ltd., GKW Consult GmbH, ICT Limited. Some of the notable assignments he has handled include: In water sector: Revamping of Electro-mechanical Works of Water Treatment Plants viz. Alusteng, Doodhganga, Pokhribal and Rangil. In drainage sector: Upgradation of pumping stations in the city of Srinagar. In urban infrastructure sector: construction of mechanized car parking facility in Srinagar. He was Project Implementation consultant for establishment of Physical Modelling Centre, Kosi River at Birpur Bihar. Er. Parray has complimented his technical expertise by pursuing advanced trainings in computer applications in hydraulic machinery and attended a number of workshops and training programmes.
