Er. Irshad Ahmad Bhat

Er. Irshad Ahmad Bhat, an alumnus of Regional Engineering College, Calicut, Keralum, completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering in the year 1978 and soon after joined the construction company established by his father Late Kh. Noor Mohammad Bhat who was a distinguished Civil Engineer of the state of Jammu and Kashmir. Er. Irshad served for about a decade as an Infrastructure Development Expert in the company. Subsequently, he joined Regional Engineering College, Srinagar (now NIT Srinagar) as a faculty member where from he was deputed to IIT Delhi for pursuing M. Tech. in Energy Studies which he accomplished in the year 1994.

Er. Bhat joined J&K Power Development Department after he was selected as an Assistant Engineer through Public Service Commission. He worked for various prestigious projects in the state in various capacities and finally superannuated in the year 2013 after around three decades of illustrious career. Er. Irshad has vast professional experience in private sector post retirement spanning more than a decade having managed/supervised electro-mechanical works of hydropower projects (JKSPDC). Managed installation, testing of transformers, DG Sets, executed centrally sponsored infrastructure projects worth Rs. 200 Cr. under PMDP/DDGJY schemes in Budgam and Anantnag districts of Jammu and Kashmir while being associated with M/S Vijai Electricals, Hyderabad (2021-2024). Presently he is leading projects in energy generation (solar and other sectors) for M/S Fahmi Spheres Private Limited (from April 2024 till date) providing strategic consultancy and execution oversight. Er. Irshad is an Electrical Infrastructure Expert associated with JNY Consulting Engineers LLP, a Srinagar based project management consultancy in infrastructure sector.
