Social Safeguard Expert
Asma khan is a social development professional with more than a decade of experience over seeing projects funded by multilateral financing institutions. She has extensive expertise in managing the social safeguards requirements mandated by the organizations.
She possesses an in-depth understanding of the ADB Safeguard Policy Statement(SPS) 2009 and the World Bank’s Environmental and Social Framework (ESF). Her proficiency in the principles and practical applications of international safeguard standards stems from extensive hands-on involvement across diverse projects.
She has strong capabilities in designing, planning, and implementing strategies to meet resettlement objectives, address grievances and mitigate significant livelihood impacts.
Ms. Asma has obtained her Bachelors in Psychology and Masters in Social Work from the University of Kashmir.
