Mohd. Maqbool Wani is a highly accomplished Civil Engineer and Project Management Leader with over four decades of experience in driving complex infrastructure and environmental projects. Holding an M.E. from IIT Roorkee and a B.E from NIT Srinagar, he has authored several publications and is a Life Fellow of the Indian Water Works Association and an Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers (India). His career is distinguished by leadership roles in high-stake initiatives, including serving as Team Leader for the World Bankfunded Jhelum & Tawi Flood Recovery Project and for AMRUT 2.0. In these capacities, he oversawdesign, procurement, and implementation of extensive flood mitigation infrastructure. His expertise spans civil engineering, urban water transport, lake conservation and contract management under FIDIC standards.

Er. Wani has a proven track record with international funding agencies like the World Bank and Asian Development Bank, successfully managing multi-sector projects such as JKUSDIP. As a Hydraulic Expert for the Inland Water Transport System and an Environmental Engineer for the Dal-Nigeen Lake conservation, he has demonstrated a deep commitment to sustainable urban development and water resources management.
