He holds a B.E. in Civil Engineering and a Master’s in Water Resources Engineering from the University of Kashmir, bringing a strong academic foundation to his extensive field experience. Known for strategic planning and target-driven execution, he has successfully delivered numerous road and infrastructure projects under World Bank and Asian Development Bank (ADB) funding. He possesses comprehensive expertise in highway and bridge design and has attained advanced skills in land development, contouring andpreparation of detailed project reports, economic analysis, and social impact assessments. His ability to integrate technical precision with environmental sustainability enables him to execute complex civil works including pavement design, drainage systems, bridges, and rural connectivity projects while maintaining adherence to international standards and government regulations.

Throughout his career, Peer Iftikhar Ahmed has demonstrated excellence in managing multidisciplinary teams, supervising contractors for ensuring timely completion of projects across challenging terrains. His postings have spanned key Departments of the J&K Government such as J&K ERA, PMGSY and various Development Authoritieswhere he successfully executed critical road networks, urban infrastructure upgrades, and large-scale multi crore development schemes.
